ECOPOL F3HC – Fluorine-Free Foam Concentrate (F3) for Class B Hydrocarbon Fires
ECOPOL F3HC was already in 2015 the first 3% fluorine-free foam (F3) to combine rapid extinguishment with excellent burnback resistance for Class B hydrocarbon fires. The synthetic foam concentrate ECOPOL F3HC can perform better than the best AFFF foams, while being completely fluorine-free and environmentally friendly.
This low-expansion foam is used for long throw distances and heights, forming a resistant foam blanket with excellent spreading and sealing properties, comparable to the best AFFF foams. The foam creates a protective barrier against vapor release, provides a cooling effect, and offers very long burnback resistance.
Thanks to slow drainage, ECOPOL F3HC adheres effectively even to vertical surfaces such as oil tanks or aircraft fuselages.
ECOPOL F3HC meets the EN 1568-3 standard and is 1A-certified for extinguishing and burnback performance with both freshwater and seawater.
The product is fully biodegradable and contains no fluorinated compounds such as PFAS (PFOS, PFOA, PFCs), which are known to be persistent in the environment, bioaccumulative, and toxic to living organisms.
ECOPOL F3HC provides the perfect balance between environmental responsibility and maximum fire protection against hydrocarbon fires.
It can be used on Class B fires involving fuel oil, gasoline, crude oil, kerosene, and other flammable liquids, in both direct and gentle application. The foam is commonly used for oil fires, tank fires, and fuel spills, where its low expansion ensures effective and safe extinguishment.
