ECOPOL F – Fluorine-Free Class A Foam for Wildland Fires
ECOPOL F is an eco-friendly Class A foam concentrate, specifically developed for firefighting in forests, brush, and wildland areas. Thanks to its excellent wetting properties, ECOPOL F makes water significantly more effective for deep fire suppression, even in challenging terrain and during smoldering fires.
The foam works equally well with salt, fresh, and brackish water, regardless of hardness, providing maximum extinguishing efficiency in all environments.
Environmentally Friendly and Safe
ECOPOL F is completely fluorine-free – containing no PFAS, PFOS, PFOA, or PBT substances – and is 100% biodegradable without any negative impact on nature, animals, or vegetation. The product is also GreenScreen certified, guaranteeing that it is free from chemicals of concern to humans and the environment.
The foam is non-toxic, non-corrosive, and complies with both the EPA Stewardship Program (US Environmental Protection Agency) and the EU Groundwater Directive (GWD).
Technical Properties
Wetting Properties:
The surfactants in ECOPOL F reduce water’s surface tension, allowing it to penetrate glowing material and extinguish fire at depth. It also significantly reduces water consumption. Its long drain time provides extended surface wetting and prevents re-ignition.
Expansion Properties:
When mixed with air, ECOPOL F forms a stable foam blanket that insulates fuel from oxygen and cools effectively. The adhesive foam structure enables it to cling to vertical surfaces for extended periods, facilitating fire suppression and overhaul.
Applications
Can be used at concentrations between 0.1% and 1%, depending on application:
- 0.1–0.2%: as a wetting agent
- 0.5–1%: as a foaming agent

- Class A fires (forest, brush, trees, wildland)
- Contained Class B fires
Compatible with all types of dosage systems and firefighting equipment, including:
- Ground-based systems (CAFS, foam proportioners, etc.)
